Dr. Shahrzad Orona, ND

Dr. Shahrzad Z. Orona trained at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon, before joining Naturopathic Family Care in February 2002. Raised in Arizona, Dr. Orona returned from Oregon to be closer to her large extended family and is currently living in Chandler, Arizona, with her husband and two children.
From an early age, Dr. Orona wanted to be a family care physician. She attended the University of Arizona on an academic scholarship and received a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology in 1992, also completing pre-med prerequisites. Much of her time in college was also devoted to working in U of A laboratories and volunteering at the nearby University Medical Center. In her final year of college, Dr. Orona became increasingly interested in natural and alternative medicine.
Dr. Orona's family practice as a naturopathic physician currently includes the use of the following modalities: botanical medicine, nutrition, homeopathy, IV therapy, hydrotherapy, Natural Elimination of Allergy Treatment (N.E.A.T.), Thyroflex, nutriceuticals and pharmaceuticals. Additionally, Dr. Orona specializes in the area of pediatric and women's care.
